Infiniti takes shot at BMW in Commercial...

Here's the reality. Any company that has to use a competitors car, to get their point across, is far behind their competitor. If M-B or BMW ever did (or ever has) used a competitor in their ads, it would be a huge knock to their supremacy.

It make me chuckle:D. Blunt but subliminal. At least they didn't go down the corny route like Lexus.

And at least they didn't use a 10 year old model like Audi's cheap-shotting a$$es. :D

They must have done some editing to the 3'er though, in that profile shot (before it gets mauled by the giant snowball), it looks horribly dull and small, while the cars around it (especially the Infinite) are gleaming and crisp.

I'm no BMW fanboy, but that commercial was stupid.

What was stupid about it? I thought it was fantastic!

BMW owner hit Infiniti owner with snow ball. Infiniti owner strategically builds larger snow ball and knocks BMW owners car completely off the map and gets his parking space as a bonus! Priceless!

Far better than some of the other pathetic car commercials out there.

Speaking of Lexus, there is a commercial where the guy's wife gets him an RX for Christmas then the new Buick comes down the street and the guy is looking like why didn't she get me that. Funny. You have to see it.

I agree, the best advert anyone can have is one that works to your own strengths, rather than highlight the weakness of others.

But still, it's a funny ad. :usa7uh:

Nissan (Infiniti) is my favorite Japanese brand but no compromise on the love for Bimmer! So...

Only thing this ad does to me is highlight how much better the 3er looks than the G...

Not only is it funny, it's clever. And much better than that pathetic "joy" campaign.

Ugh, don't get me started on "JOY"!. I can't wait for BMW to ixnay that schtick. What ever happened to the "Ultimate Driving Machine"? Just stick with that. "JOY" is beyond preposterously goofy.

I think I saw that commerical. They show all old BMWs and Mercedes then all of a sudden a "new" Audi shows up leaving the owners of the Benz and BMW amazed at the Audi.

Yup, lol. That is the ultimate cheap shot.

Audi marketing is VERY calculated in that dept. Even when they used a W204, they made sure to use the very rare-in-U.S Luxury trim (which the W204 looks very awkward with, doesn't fit with the cars size).

They aren't the only ones, though. Some new Kia ("Soul", I think) has a commercial, with some Asian golfer chick cruising up through a Country Club parking lot, startling all the old and crabby fogies in their 15 YEAR OLD CARS!!!! I mean they're using 90's models in this video. It's so cheesy, and dated in its approach to car-comedy, it feels like it's from the 90's, in fact.

Nothing was even remotely grounded in reality. How is BMW getting hit by a huge snowball have ANYTHING to do with Infiniti? This commercial was so generic and boring that it could've been done by ANY car company.

My goodness...were you expecting some kind of Academy Award performance?

It's a simple 30 second commercial. It was direct and straight forward. Of course it the real world we all know that can't happen, but it was funny to me. Some of yall are taking this German Car Fan stuff too seriously.
