in sweden all cars get 3 letters and 3 numbers on their lisense plate. You cant decide own your own what it should say, the big bosses in Sweden decide or a computer decide..(i dont know )
so this guy was lucky enough to get "BMW" on his lisense plate and by coincidence it happen to be on a BMW.

I guess you have to be a swede to understand Artist, zonda where are you guys , help me explain

I can add that we can decide our own plates but it cost you extra and maximum 7 letters. But what you see on red bimmer is a standard plate and randomly decided by a computer.

Imagine a Mercedes owner getting the plate the red bimmer has. Driving a mercedes and on your trunk it says BMW

The odds of getting BMW is 'only' 17576 to 1 if i did my calculations correctly. The odd for getting that exact plate is 17576000 to 1.

So in Sweden you cannot influence the letters or numbers you get on a regular plate, but you can have a special plate with a word or something, is that correct?


In here, €1,000 will get you any available combination of 2 or 3 letters and 1, 2, or 3 numbers....

Very common to see dealers buyout a series of plates here... I’ve seen BMW xxx, 330 xxx, 911 xxx, 997 xxx, etc. And I don’t a mean a few plates… they buyout the whole sequence. So if you happen to purchase your car when they have it, they pass it on to customers.

It's a nice touch for Canadian dealers to offer a specialized plate with the BMW -xxx ( and the others) on it.

In the states it just takes a bit more cash to get a "vanity tag" as we call them.

Is it really that hard to get vanity license plates in Eu? Here in the Cali, as long as no one has it reserved you can get a license plate that says whatever you want. You just pay $40 every year. LOL We have one of my last name.

btw, I'd take that Subaru over that bimmer any day. One of my favorite Subaru ever vs. My least favorite BMW ever. I hate the Ti...so damn ugly.

You can influence it, but it costs. Or at least could. My dad looked into it once. As long as noone else has the letters and numbers you want it's okay as long as you pay, or you could pay even more and have it completly custom.

Back and front... in all European countries I suppose.
