HWA HWA EVO and EVO R (Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evo II by HWA)

Motorsport legends behind the CLK-GTR and DTM titles. Now crafting ultra-exclusive restomods like the HWA EVO. Official: HWA and HWA EVO.
Coupé or saloon?
I hope estate! Think a C63 507 wagon but from the 80s, box flares and a manual. (Just my wishlist not actually info).
Lots of rumors, some talk about a CLK DTM restomod but for now just rumors.

The info i get from source is the second project will still be based on a Mercedes, but this time with a V8 engine, and the third project is a "Bespoke" V12 hypercar.

Very interesting.

I guess the 3. is probably like a Pagani.

For some reason I can't fully like this car. It just seems wrong. That red doesn't suit it IMO.

Red looks gorgeous BTW.
I usually don’t like Mercs in red but it suit it. It’s also a show car designed to attract eyeballs. Black or grey would have been too anonymous and predictable.

Red also gives me flying pig vibes

This one will not have a V8 but their next project will indeed be a V8.

I would love to see them build a sleeper like the 500e EVO as their next project, if they go with a W124 it will probably be a Hammer EVO. Whatever it is I'm sure it will be W124 based, they have so many options for body designs, sedan, wagon, coupe, convertible, the scope is endless.

A Hammer EVO 500E/E60 AMG T-Wagon model would be awesome indeed.

One of the less expected restomod cars out there is almost ready for prime time. The HWA EVO, which as its name suggests is a modernized variant of the Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evo II, has been undergoing cold- and hot-weather testing as it makes its way toward production, ensuring that its traction controls and braking systems are up to snuff and guaranteeing reliable performance in even extreme weather. HWA took its highly modified, C 43 V6-powered 190E project to Sweden and Spain to undergo those test protocols, resulting in some pretty tantalizing info that only makes us want the super-sedan even more.

At the beginning of the year, HWA sent two of its pre-production EVO vehicles to the Bosch proving ground in Vaitoudden, Sweden, where they endured sub-zero temperatures while being driven to the limit on the track, ensuring that the manufacturer's work on dynamics and traction controls weren't in vain. The testing also helped HWA fine-tune the EVO's responses when encountering slick surfaces, including dialing in more or less slip angle based on the drive mode. The systems need to work early – and reliably – to allow the driver to maintain control, and the cold-weather testing should be a big help to the finished product.

Given the company's close cooperation with Mercedes over the years, it shouldn't surprise anyone to learn that the HWA EVO will feature a modern Mercedes powertrain. Under the hood is a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6, which appeared in the previous-generation Mercedes-AMG C 43 and GLC 43, although it's got a targeted output of around 450 horsepower – up from 385 in Benz form. Although it apes the 2.5-16V Evo II, the HWA version is actually based on a series-production Mercedes 190E, which gets stripped to its bare body in white before it receives the engine, transmission, interior, and chassis updates, plus that Evo-spec aero kit.

The car is horribly slow.

SPX class my f' ing ass

Love that factory tour of HWA. Super cool that the roll cage is imbedded inside the pillars and roof. You don't see it!

Nuts how many super and hyper cars use external carbon fibre bits. Would make me nervous to drive a car like that. A rear end knock would require huge pieces of manually created CF body parts to be replaced.
