How many car pictures do you?

Nope, I try to stay the hell away from porn. I'm glad to say it's been pretty successful.

Many of my pictures are from WCF/GCF, actually. Whenever new stuff comes out, and it's an interesting car, I take a sample of the pics to 'describe' the car should I ever want to. Sometimes I have some 'holes' - no offense, but my BMW collection isn't the most complete - but they are also pretty common pictures.

As it is, with 8600+ pics, I'm trying to keep it down. They used to be in one folder, but it got so big that my image viewer took ages to load up all the thumbnails. So I've divided them into 6 folders, with files added alphabetically, so that they each have roughly a similar amount of files. The 'M' folder is the only one with one letter only - Mazda and Mitsubishi make up some, but Mercedes is far and away the most - I'm probably a bit of a closet MB fan, but it's really a love-hate relationship.

I have to be selective. I love high res pics, though; and I am also keen to get Japanese cars, if they appeal, and various other cars. I'm a bit of a hoarder by nature. The files are all renamed so that they go by manufacturer, year, model, then maybe something brief like 'interior' and then a number. It throws me off when pictures include several cars of different makes (I just go with one to make it easy, usually)

I have about 4200 car pics...I save few pics of every new model (interesting to me), and sometimes when I have time I read about older models and save pics..

Snake, it's really becoming hard to keep it down...Don't know how to separate them and honestly I don't want to move pic by pic from one folder to another...

i really dont have much at all. perhaps 15 on my pc, and maybe about 30 on imageshack/photbucket. Never really collected photos that way.

Dominix, if you haven't been renaming your files all along (most helpfully if it was with manufacturer filenames), then it might be a very difficult task to sort it out.

You could try doing it manually, it would take you a few hours maybe. Get some sort of thumbnail view. Sorting by date of modification might be a good start - it mean that files saved to your hard drive close to each other would be grouped closely, which are likely to be the same car.

As for monster.. me?

I like to have pictures of relevant models, in case I want to later review. A few times I've showed them to people, case at hand - the facelifted Honda Accord Euro, which will be coming to Australia in January 2006, already existed in pictures a few months ago. Now I can show people what it will look like without searching a while on the internet.

Each one of them has name, like: ''LeBlanc Caroline GTR'' or ''Affolter Lamborghini Diablo VT'' .... I thought I'd sort them in make/model files because I have approx. 200 pics of Ferrari, 200 of Porsche....and so on, so I'll maybe make folder 'Porshe' and put all Porsche pics in that folder. That would take time but hey, it's worth doing it..
Also, I have a special folder for pics of the interriors... I don't put all the pics together!!
