You mean the one based on the IMV - Innnova platform? My dad two of them, both of them diesel with the 3.0 D4D 4x4 automatic, the difference being the first was black and was a five seater and the second was white and was a seven seater and those third row seats make the most annoying rattle when they are folded up, instead of folded flat on the floor.

I don't if yours had the truly gutless 2.5 102 hp engine or the not-so-impressive 3.0 163 hp, but my dad seemed content with the performance of the three-litre turbodiesel, but then again his previous car, was a Chevy S10 4x4 TD Crew Cab with 132 hp. Anyway, my dad loved his Fortuners. Me? Not so much. Not because of the performance, but because of the lack of safety features such as curtain airbags and stability control.

Yes I had the D4D I really don’t know which engine but it was Manual and it was really the worse vehicle I ever drove. Before that I had a automatic colt 3 l v6 petrol I love that one
