Ok, so I don't have a garage for my new car. My car stands on a crowded parking lot. Although I have alarm on my car I feel its not completly protected against thiefs or any other possible damages.

As you know we have wintertimes, 4 months every year here in Sweden, with a garage you get a warm car and you wont get frozen ice on the windows that you have to scratch every morning when going to work or late evenings. You also get better protection against thievs or that someone accidently hit their cardoor into my car. You also get protection against snow/rain/wind or flying objects. Your car get better protection inside a garage than outside :)

Only problem with the garage is that I need to walk 300 meters (about 2-3 minutes walk, I have to cross big road with traffic) to be able to drive my car. Or I'm I just being lazy. :eusa_thin

So should I get a garage for my 2 months old car?

WoW Ty, you're fast, I just posted this :D

Thank you for your input.

wow..you need help man..
living in sweden i know how damn shitty it is to scrape frozen windows in the moring..and sit in a cold car..
so walking 300m should be easy.. for a sane person atleast..haha

I'm not gonna lie, 300m + crossing a big road to get to my garage would be a nightmare for anyone. But you're car is brand new, winter here in Sweden is long and harsh, especially for a brand new car parked outside.

So it's either craping snow and ice off the windows or walk 300m. I choose the former option. Protect your new bimmer, it's not a 7 000kr Kadett or Micra. Then in March/April you can switch back to the parking lot.

I always think of you being the fitest member on this board but you sound as lazy as me :D You jetsetter ;)

Whatever you do, don't put your car in a heated garage. It'll be a pile of rust before spring. Get a Webasto or similar instead to heat up the car. Save yourself from the walk...

I'm not lazy, I just don't like wasting energy.

Buy a kickboard and the time it takes you to the garage will decrease with 40-60%.

Definitely garage it. I'd rather walk 300 m than scrape all the ice from the car every morning. Plus the car will be somewhat warm when you get in already. And you also protect your car from idiots who don't know how to drive.
