I still like the way that American engines are always known by their engine codes :-D It makes me happy. I mean, most often you hear about the 6.2 liter HEMI, or the LS7, or the Small Block 350, instead of the V10 lifted from the M5, or a detuned version of the V12 found in the Enzo.

Just reminds me of the heyday of American motor cars.

Yeah i know what you mean. I love when you used to hear the engine's orignal name. The American's are still into it quite a bit, as you said with both the LS7/LS2 and the HEMI 6.2L & 5.7L versions. Thankfully i've heard people refer to the McLaren's F1 engine as the S70/2, but people need to start calling a certain engine the "M120" ;)

Back on the subject of the car, it should be a real treat. Can't wait for the introduction at SEMA.

Well, isn't the LS7 more of race engine than some of the more truck-ish
LSes ?!
And the HEMI, isn't really a HEMI, just marketing stuff.
6.2 L, instead of 244 ?!

OK, so partially I agree, but europeans weren't so much into marketing engine names in the first place.
You never heard, BMW, Porsche or Jaguar saying "that thing's got a hemi" even if it had.

Agreed.
