Well, if Fuji hadn't caught my attention recently with the announcement of the GF670W (a wide-angle medium format camera, for anyone that's interested), they've certainly caught my attention with this new camera.
This is definitely the first digital camera that pushes all the right buttons for me. A hybrid OVF/EVF, APS-C sensor, 35mm f2 lens, a shutter speed and aperture dial(!!) and not to mention the gorgeous styling. The digital equivalent of the Hexar AF/Contax G2. If this is priced around the $900-1200 mark, I'll be picking this camera up without any hesitation.

Similar to a Leica X1 at half the price. Looks good.

I read about it this morning. Looks mighty tempting though I'm not sure about the fixed focal lenght. On the positive side it's a gorgeous camera that's worth collecting. I'm very interested to see pricing and samples.
Another note, it's not a medium format camera it's a APS-C CMOS camera i.e it has the large sensor of a DSLR squeezed into a small body. If it had been a medium format camera it would have cost arm and leg.

It will cost an arm and a leg! Rumors from Japan seem to be pointing at around US$1,400-1,700 mark, which sounds about right. More expensive than the NEX/NX/Micro 4/3rd cameras but less than the Leica X1. Even so, I think I'll seriously consider buying one. The features read off like my dream digital camera - the large sensor, hybrid-VF and the dials for shutter speed and aperture seal the deal for me. You should see the response this camera is getting from film users - it's exactly what they've been wanting for years.
As for the medium format camera part Luw, I was actually talking about this:
I want this one badly as well.
Very nice retro-styling on that baby!

A very cool little camera. I am thinking I might get the new model of this, the X100T
I have owned Leica film cameras in the past, I have always liked the feel of a Rangefinder .....it's somehow helps capture more spontaneous images than an SLR.
The Leica M is such an excellent camera but it is so expensive to take everywhere without worrying about it. ......this Fujifilm camera is a great alternative.
