  • New MBUX infotainment generation with 5G data transmission
  • Individual entertainment with third-party apps and music streaming in Dolby Atmos
  • Automated personalisation using artificial intelligence
  • New colours and leather-free interior
The best-selling Mercedes-Benz C-Class and GLC models are becoming even more intelligent and individualised. They have the latest-generation MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system with fast 5G data transmission[1], offering an interactive entertainment programme. In addition, convenience functions can be automatically adapted to personal preferences thanks to artificial intelligence. Furthermore, the C-Class and GLC are now also available in MANUFAKTUR alpine grey uni and the GLC additionally in verde silver metallic. A leather-free steering wheel cover is also available for the first time, making the interior completely leather-free on request. The new models are now available to order from authorised dealers in Germany and online. Prices for the C-Class start at 47.730,90 euros[2] for the saloon and 49.515,90 euros² for the estate. The GLC SUV is available from 59.809,40 euros² and the GLC Coupé from 62.594 euros².

Individual entertainment with third-party apps
The new MBUX infotainment system enables the installation of third-party apps[3]. In conjunction with the MBUX Entertainment Package Plus, this means a new level of digital experience – with third-party apps from the category video streaming, video conferencing, games, travel planning, knowledge platform and much more. The apps can be downloaded “over the air” from the Mercedes me Store. The main icons on the redesigned central display are now presented more simply and are arranged to match smartphones tiles for pleasant usability and ease of intuitive operation.

The MBUX Entertainment Package Plus is part of the optional Premium Plus Package. It includes internet radio, music streaming[4], video streaming and a data package from a selected third-party provider. The range in the Mercedes me App Store will progressively be expanded. This means that the digital experience in the C‑Class and GLC can always be updated and expanded according to individual wishes and requirements. The Burmester® 3D surround sound system with Dolby Atmos ensures unrivalled multi-dimensional music enjoyment. It is also included in the Premium Plus Package.

Automate convenience functions with routines
Thanks to artificial intelligence, MBUX enables personalisation with automated convenience functions. Customers can use templates for standard routines. Examples of this are “Cold Days” (switching on the seat heating at a certain outside temperature) or “Date Night” (romantic music is played and ambient lighting changes to pink). The templates are operated via the central display and are arranged in a carousel-style on the screen. It is also possible to create personalised routines. Several functions and conditions can be linked together. For example: If the interior temperature is below twelve degrees Celsius, the seat heating should be switched on and the ambient lighting set to warm orange.

GLC with digital vehicle key
A digital vehicle key is now also available for the GLC SUV and Coupé. It allows the driver to conveniently lock, unlock and start the vehicle. All they have to do is carry a compatible device[5] with them. Key sharing is also possible with up to 16 people. Pre-installation for the digital vehicle key is part of KEYLESS-GO in markets where Mercedes me connect services[6] are available.
