So is it as good as a Porsche 911? As a total package it’s desperately close to having the measure of Weissach’s finest – the design will turn heads on the sort of streets where a 911 wouldn’t rate a second glance. But next to the Porsche the steering lacks a bit in the way of feel and the Audi can’t match the 911’s perfect interplay between throttle and cornering line.

;)

Thanks, JM.

£76,000 isn't cheap! The base 997S goes for £65,000 ..:eusa_thin

Regardless, the R8 is an awesome car.

P.S. - Delicious interior combo

Woah, a 90L fuel tank is huge! That interior picture looks great too, Bruce. Peerless, simply peerless interior quality, design and sophistication.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
