A couple of, daily is a new G63 ( I moved from a Audi e-tron 55, which I still own), for long distances I have a V300d 4matic, for nice weather (SL 500 R230 and A238 E400), Youngtimer/Oldtimer W126 500SE and 560SE ( yes SWB).
The latter are currently not on the road, because I moved and I first need to finde some space here.
But they are in good condition 2 how it’s called here in Switzerland.

Schrempp was not that bad, the pre Mopf cars were not very good, that’s right.
After the Mopf W220,W210,W203,W163 were much improved.
My pre Mopf R230 is really well made ( except the soft paint), after more than 20 years even ABC and SBC are working flawlessly.
Regarding the quality of the interiors, OK is clearly worse.
The W223 is for me the worst S-Class, it’s even worse than the W220, which was a huge step in the wrong direction, compared to the masterpiece the W140 was.
The best Mercedes Benz you can currently buy new is the G Class, it’s feels rock solid.

Color me "envious"
This particular car would be an "absolute MUST have") in my imaginary collection of vintage M-B vehicles. Along with a pristine C107 450 SLC.It’s in Presscar spec ( nautical blue with grey leather, and almost fully loaded) I bought it used.
The 500se has been bought brand new from the factory and picked up in Sindelfingen in 1988.
The configuration is quite rare as it is completely empty, traction control and A/C are the only options.
dark blue with grey cloth seats. Manual seats,windows, no Leather Steering wheel and so on.
Later we started to buy Vianos, because of the space. Which lead us to the current V300d in Red, but fully loaded.
Almost all cars are with code 260.
The R230 and A238 are again in Press car color combination. (Silver and red)
