German tuning house Edo Competition has taken a look under the hood of Ford’s retro GT supercar and worked its magic to the tune of 610hp. Not happy with the performance from the standard car’s all-aluminum supercharged V8, the tuners added a new sports catalytic converter plus a high flow stainless steel exhaust system with adjustable flaps to modulate the level of noise coming from the new tailpipes. The developers then played around with the car’s electronic management with final dyno tests revealing an increase of 60hp over the standard car.
The final stats read 610hp at 6,500rpm and a massive 800Nm of torque at 4,500rpm. Enough oomph to accelerate to 100km/h from rest in just 3.7 seconds, beating the standard version by 0.2 seconds, while top speed bumps up to 340km/h.
Other additions in the Edo package include carbon-fiber paneling in the engine bay, a new rear wing as well as a tire air-pressure control system for each wheel. Edo even offers its customers a new paint scheme for the Ford supercar as well as unique racing wheels available in several different colors and designs
