So, 0-60 in 2,9s with rollout as in Car and Driver. But the result could be even better with better surface. 1/4 mile speed not that good though.

Comments on Turbo :

Holy crap! This is fast. And the amazing part? It could easily be faster. A surface with more grip would allow the PDK to hold 1st and 2nd gears longer and likely yield quicker times. Here, it just upshifts immediately when it senses wheelspin. PDK is, again, amazing. Launch control produced the best run.

Quick as the Turbo is , its not my choice. Driving experience is far more important and I think GT3 is a more thrilling drive. It also looks better.

Both cars are absolutely fantastic. Well, I couldn't decide - for me it would be important, where I would use them. GT3 for race track and pure weekend fun and the 997 Turbo for distance travel and comfortable fast routes across Europe. Probably I would choose the Turbo - then as Convertible. Best combination of comfort, sportiness and luxury you can get. All whole package combined in one single car - perfection!!

I haven't driven the latest 997turbo in convertible form but I have driven the Carrera and noticed a bit of flex that isn't present in a Boxster. Given the sheer performance on offer I personally don't know if I could forgive this issue and was ultimately pick the Coupe because of this.

It would be a wonderful situation to be in, though sadly one I doubt I will get the chance to experience, what with kids and schooling taking priority.

Lol - sorry! :eusa_doh: Give me an Alpina B6 S Convertible in Alpina Green II and deep brown leather seats instead and you can have your Turbo Cabrio! :t-cheers:

Sadly, I've never driven a Porsch and probably will never be able to buy one. So it's just a dream…but you could be right, that the Boxster is the more stable and sporty car.
