Passat Does Volkswagen have any plans to fill the gap between the Passat and the Phaeton?

Volkswagen range has a HUGE gap between the Passat and the Phaeton.

I wonder, does Volkswagen intend to fill this gap? I really think they should.

It's strange to have a compact saloon (Jetta) a midsize family car (Passat) and then all of a sudden a big, luxurious limo (Phaeton). Now where's the fullsize executive-family car??? Where's Volkswagen's version of the Audi A6?

I really do think Volkswagen should fill this gap.

seemigly the passta in its next iteration will grow a bit, and the phaeton shrink a bit which will make the gap smalelr

VW should nto fill this gap with naything premium, it can't properly do premium, audi can, let audi do it and focus on the lower range

Well put my friend. This is especially the case in the US. VW are not seen as premium cars in the US....VW are seen as the German Honda and Toyota so having a A6 type of VW will be expensive and won't sell well...it will be Pheaton all over again for VW in the US.

Isn't it the Passat Coupe? Which isn't confirmed yet.

Put on hold for now. Winterkorn is or has already done a review for all future product planning, and Da Silva is making design revisions to those models as well.

Yes, but I think that's the model for the gap between the Passat and the Phaeton... VW isn't developing any other model to fill that gap, are they?
