M6 Clarkson Reviews the M6 Cabrio.

The BMW M6 is a high-performance version of the 6 Series marketed under the BMW M sub-brand from 1983 to 2019 (with a hiatus from 1990 to 2004). Introduced in the coupe body style, the M6 was also built in convertible and fastback sedan ('Gran Coupe') body styles for later generations. An M6 model was built for each of the first three generations of the 6 Series. Production of the M6 ended in 2019 and it was replaced by the BMW M8 (F91/F92/F93) in 2019. Official website: BMW M

Ugly Betty, I want to make babies with you

What does everyone in Britain do for a living these days? We know that Bulgarians have taken all the jobs picking flowers, we know that London’s traffic wardens are all Nigerian, that your cockles were picked by a Chinaman, that your plumber’s a Pole and that whenever you ring a call centre it sounds like you’ve got through to the Kumars at No 42.

So, and I’m struggling here to think of the right terminology, what are the indigenous English doing to fill their days? I pay particular attention to people who appear on gameshows. In the past, people on Blind Date would usually claim to be retail managers, ie, shop assistants, but these days most people buy their groceries and their exercise equipment from the internet...

His commentary is great. Although, when reading this, I was beginning to think he wasn't going to be writing anything about the M6 Cabriolet...he likes to digress, doesn't he?

More than half the article he doesnt mention anything about automobiles.
Which just shows that he knows people like to read just his great humour.

That's true. Although JC's comments are usually over the top , it's his sense of humor that make people wanna read his reviews.:D

typical Clarkson. I cant believe he didnt like the 335.. thats odd. Im getting a bit tired of english journalist.

Well, pretty much everyone. They all copy each other. JC's review says the same exact thing as the fifth gear video about the 3 series and they always prefer the British makes.

Hmmm...similar reviews, huh? I wonder if that consistency means anything... ;)

Yea it means there consistently biased and consistently unoriginal. Its odd that every other article adores the new 3 and its engine however the brits find it "rubbish".

Other egoistic British critics include Simon Cowell. :D They kinda talk and exaggerate the same way. Great entertainment, but not so sure if they're as qualified as they seem to be.

JC's reviews are so entertainment-based that you can exactly pinpoint which part of the essay he finally starts to describes about the car. I feel that he should integrate the first half of his (ahem) discussion to the article's purpose, and not digress till kingdom come.

I hear ya, but it comes down to personal preference, doesn't it? When I buy a car, I don't care what anyone else thinks about it...I drive cars, then I choose the one that best fits me. If I listened to journalists, I would be driving a Mazda3 instead of a Honda Civic. ;)

I would never buy a Chevrolet Cavalier, but it was the best-selling car in Canada for about 12 years...what do you think most journalists had to say about it?

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
