Ami CITROËN UK UNVEILS PERFECT 'SUPERCAR' FOR THE CITY

The Citroën Ami is a two-door, battery-electric quadricycle marketed by Citroën since 2020. Designed by Pierre Leclercq and named after the model produced between 1961 and 1978, the production model was previewed by the "Ami One" concept car. Both the Ami and Ami One were developed simultaneously by Groupe PSA (now Stellantis) and Altran. The vehicle is manufactured at the facility in Kenitra, Morocco and is equipped with a compact electric motor located at the front, generating 6 kilowatts (8.0 hp; 8.2 PS) to drive the front wheels.

Citroën Ami 100% Electric took on some of the world’s most popular and famous supercars in London recently, with a tongue-in-cheek interpretation of the ‘Perfect Supercar for the City’. Wrapped in gold chrome, Ami 100% Electric turned heads wherever it went, and proved extremely popular as it mingled with a selection of the most established names in the world of supercars.

The one-off Ami visited the main sites in the London supercar scene to see what would attract the most attention. Locations included Knightsbridge, New Bond Street, Mayfair, and Park Lane – with Ami proving to be more popular than any of the exotic cars on show, delighting onlookers who couldn't resist taking a photo.

As Ultra Low Emissions Zones, Clean Air Zones, and other emissions-reducing schemes become more prevalent, Ami offers an opportunity for accessible zero-emissions mobility in urban environments. Ami represents a true breakthrough from Citroën – a daring response to the challenges faced in today’s congested cities.

As an electric mobility solution, Ami emits zero emissions in use and has a 5.4kWh battery that recharges in just four hours. With a range of 46 miles (WMTC**), and a top speed of 28mph, Ami 100% Electric is a modern, creative solution that delivers on Citroën’s promise to provide affordable and clean mobility solutions for all.

#AmiOnTour will see Ami 100% Electric visit well-known landmarks in each location with the opportunity for members of the public to get involved, take pictures, and see Ami in their own city. To celebrate each of the host cities, the seven Ami prize vehicles will be wrapped with bespoke designs by Jenni Sparks, featuring local landmarks and each unique cityscape – one for each city.

Throughout the nationwide tour, members of the public will get the chance to enter a competition* to win one of the seven wrapped Amis – each winner will receive the Ami associated with their specific city. To enter, members of the public simply need to scan one of the competition QR codes located at the Ami Hub in each city location, between the hours of 12:00 and 16:30.

#AmiOnTour starts tomorrow and will take in seven cities in just over two weeks:
