"Exciting project reveiled a couple of days ago. Some hot entrepeneur over here in Belgium bought a Carrera GT and is going to change it into a fullblood racecar. It's going to take some time ofcourse because nothing really excist specifically for the CGT and they won't get support from Porsche.

Yesterday i was in Spa-Francorchamps and i saw the car because they are going to explore it's capabilities in a national Belcar-race. Everything is standard at the moment so that will be interesting.

In the future they will decide in which championship they will compete when the car is finished, possibilities are: Le Mans, LMES, FIA GT and Belcar."

This is a good car to start with, seeing as it was first built to be a racing car!

Nice idea! I'm sure we'd all love to see a lightweight SLR competing in the FIA GT or ALMS championships, but I think Mercedes is already fully committed to F1 and DTM and doesn't plan on re-entering sports cars in the near future. Considering the diminishing quality, problematic Smart brand, and job losses, I don't think MB can afford to invest more money in motorsport at the moment.

That car really looks perfect. That paint job looks awesome!
