Cameras Canon 7D samples

I really want to see some sample at 12800 ISO.
I personally am not a pixel peeper so I am not too interested in 12800 ISO's. I don't know when I would need that kind of exposure for any useful purpose. ISO 6400 shots I have seen are excelent and I guess I could use that a few times a year.

If you are interested in all ISO's and seeing samples go to Imaging Resource... they have more images at different setting than on can really digest. They do have some 12800 tests shots. This is the URL

Thanks for the link :usa7uh:. I'm not crazy about pixel too (I had a little faith that 7D will be low mega pixel FF before) but I usually take photo indoor and in low light condition. So, it's good to have high ISO. From what I see, pictures are quite clean at ISO6400.

The 7D with the EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM would be a nice combination for your shooting needs indoors. It is f/2.8 through the full zoom range and sharper than a tack... really a L quality lens except for the build.

Click on the movie... mind boggling images shot with a variety of Canon lenses listed at the end. Stills are too bad either.

Sold my 50d in 3 days and hopefully get the 7D the end of the month.

?????EOS 7D?Sample Images & Movie

Congrats, Jack! Should be a fantastic camera. Basically offers everything all the camera nerds were dissatisfied the 5d Mkii didn't have - minus the FF sensor of course.

It seems that this line will run concurrent with the 5d, offering a faster, sports-focused crop body, while the 5d will always run as a slower (both in focusing & FPS), portrait/wedding-suited lens. Pity the 5d is so much more expensive because it fits my needs much better..

Thanks.

Doing what I do with a camera, the price of a FF is just a overkill. My first DSLR was the 20D and I have progressed through the line as the improvements and features have grown. However, the 7D appears to offer me about anything I will ever do with a camera and from the samples I have seen, I doubt "my audience" will care or even know how big the sensor is...:-)

I would love the 5DMKII and even thought about it but I have 3 EF-S lenses and the switch would have just been too much of a loss. I see Canon may offer a firmware upgrade to 5D's to deal with the displeasure of so many owners about the video being less than what is contained in the 7D.

Looking forward to the end of the month and the new toy...

7D Sample at 3200 ISO

This was processed from RAW with CS4 ACR 5.5, Neat Image Auto Profile and tweaked in CS4 and resized. This is with the Pre-production unit and was shot by a person who had the camera in a store for about 10 minutes. It is a test to see IQ, not content or skill and shot at 3200 ISO. f/3.5 @ 1/200th... not exactly well lit area....

Lookin good to me guys....:usa7uh:

My first post from the 7D...

I received the 7D today and took a variety of images at many different settings to become familiar with the camera settings. The AF is faster than the 50D and appears to be very accurate. However, the AF options available do have a learning curve with the manual handy. This shot was not snap-on due to my dealing with the new AF setups, but it was workable.

This is at 6400 ISO, natural light from a nearby window and shot at 1/13 @ f/4 with the EF 70-200mm f4L IS @ 70mm. Processed from RAW in CS4 ACR5.5, run through Neat Image Auto Profile, tweaked and resized.

My favorite subject...
