In the all important dynamics the Cayenne was top dog but here's a really funny one, the marking for cargo space.

Cayenne : 670cubic ft (seat up)
X5M : 620 cubic ft (seat up)
ML 63: 690 cubic ft (seat up)
Jeep : 782 cubic ft (seat up)

How on earth did the Cayenne only get a 2 out 5 when the X5M got a 5? Also the 6sp auto in the X5M receiving higher marks than the more modern 8sp in the Cayenne? And then there's powertrain flexibility, clearly from the numbers top marks should go to the ML with the Jeep last yet it's the Jeep with a 5.

C&D have a very odd with of scoring, maybe it's the roll of a dice with the 6 covered up. :D

Love them all actually!

Would be a hard choice for me, but I would pick the Cayenne. Love it so much!

Tough choice, Porsche is my favorite, BMW has its good qualities, but in this case the Merc has most presence with baller status.

I found the Cayenne ugly as hell, and always loved the X5. I have found lots of respect for the new M class (a neighbord bought one and man... that thing scream "Mercedes-ness" ) and the Grand Cherokee? Well, I think is the nicest SUV of the world, they did their homework with the exterior design.

Regards

You know it is the base of the Maserati Kubang ?

The Jeep is also the base of the ML (or vice versa or however you want to put it).

My Dad just got a fully loaded Grand Cherokee Overland, very nice indeed. Mercedes' touch helped out Jeep immensely, and the car is insanely popular.

I really want to take the Cayenne here, as at least it has that Porsche essence where in a segment that's very dull to me (SUV's), it adds some spice. However, it looks bland as dirt, seriously exterior presence and qualities of a Kia, though comes more alive in the Turbo form.

I probably would say the ML is the most rounded here, and definitely the best looking..... though for some reason I'd feel inclined to want the Porsche here....
