X5 [Official] BMW X5 (G05)

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.
Both good looking premium SUVs

Both the X5 And GLE facelifts are subtle enough to reflect their respective brands values. Madonna can take lessons on how to do a facelift properly from them.

Overall a nice refresh. The tail lights are an improvement. I always thought they were the weakest element on this car - nothing about them said BMW. If only they could have fixed the side profile line. I hope it does not find its way onto the next generation - it feels so busy and disjointed. A gimmicky element acura often uses. BMW can do better
That surface treatment is actually a nostalgic throwback to the first X5 The E53 Series.

You can see how the line broadens out the front and rear wheel arches.

E53, the best BMW X5 to date. What a handsome piece of metal. The current one tries to mimmick the details but fails in the halfway.
The G70 still looks pretty neat too. Since then it was loosing its modjo, but the current LCI has a really handsome face for today’s standards.

I'm in the minority now, but I think the pre-LCI with the larger and chunkier headlights looked a lot better. The new headlights just look too small for the body I think. And the overall design looks a lot more feminine and soft.

While the Life Cycle Impulse versions of the G01, G02, G07, G20 and G21 are leaning towards the masculine and aggressive routes.

Plus, since the revised G05 and G06 are receiving the softer aesthetics. I am pretty sure that the upcoming G60 will look more feminine than the outgoing G30 to match with the post-surgery faces of the X5 and X6, where’s the soon-to-be discontinued one has a conservative and masculine look.

The curved display is quite unique to BMWs, I don't recall any other manufacturer using it.
They must obviously be more expensive and give them that touch of "superiority" within more of the same

The very displays are not curved. It's just the covering glas in the empty area between the two screens. They are not more expensive than the ones used by the others.

X5M seems to be receiving the X6M “Reverse” Grille and M Horizontal bars. It’s Aerodynamics Packet could subliminally preview the upcoming M5.

There are already curved displays on the market as was mentioned here. Also they are more integrated or don‘t look lika a sticked afterthought like in the BMW.

As much I like the X5‘s face, the entire dashboard is a total let down.

I consider it one of the best integrations, it is not rigid or predictable as in the others, it has a more "artistic" relationship in its "floating" placement and much more interaction with the surrounding shapes of the dashboard, which in general are all different as well as the form and implementation of the integration of the screens in the different models

Quite the opposite for me, progress is made at great speed and they copy you immediately, it is a merit that an LCI gives us a completely new dashboard, and although the previous one is perfect, this one is updated as it should

I have no doubts that for you it‘s the best interior of this century.

Well, irrespective of how it compares to its flawless predecessor's, it's still way better than that of its closest rival - the GLE.
I get you. Even the GLE’s interior is clearly aging it’s IMO still quite solid looking and the screen has its dedicated area at least.

The X5‘s dash is a pure chaos glued together with some tacky badges stickers on it. Another eyesore are the air vents, it looks like a recycled material from past 2 decades.

On the exterior it‘s a different terrytory. I way prefer the X5 over the GLE. The front of the Mercedes is a weak point. The X5 turned out nicely outside.
