Just noticed that now. Why is the MINI platform that expensive? Because it is only limited to a few variation?

Exactly. Not that MINI is not profitable .. it's just not profitable enough. Due limited model variants. And since the MINI brand and products are specific an inflation of MINI models (eg. to exceed the magic 500k mark annually) could hurt the brand.

I agree. I would like to see the money to be invested in Daimler shares instead.
