These additions further enhance the X5's appeal! I like how they've created a look similar to the previous generation X5 4.8is. Awesome!

How come it is always the case, the performance package always looks better than the M package? And why is there a need for BMW to offer two different package, shouldn't performance parts = M parts?

The Performance Package looks better than the M package, because latest M cars are too shouty, unlike the older M's that were wolves in sheeps' clothing.

As for offering two different packages, BMW offers M Pack bumpers, Performance Parts, and then M models. It is indeed quite confusing.

Performance packages are quite new, not so long ago they offered aero packs instead of them.
