Vs BMW M5 F10 vs ........ videos

Sorry if I'm reading the wrong thing, but in that comparo isn't the E63 faster from 0-160?

It is. But only cause it is faster to the first 60 kmph. After that M5 accelerates faster, but not by enough to make up the time it lost in the first 60 kmph.

Autocar is reporting a powerboost for facelift M5, around 580 hp. Keep in mind Autocar was spot on about horsepower before the new M5 was revealed. So M5 might be the quickest once again after the facelift.

Or are they just making an educated guess that Audi are telling wee porkies about how much the RS6 is really making because lately they're having a habit of doing this. ;)

They claim a source from BMW told them this. They said the same thing before the new M5 was revealed and like I said they were spot on about the power before. So they could very well be correct again.

I'm not doubting the validity of the claim, I'm just speculating as to why its happening.

@Sunny, you go ahead and buy a new M5, me and @Deckhook will come together for a new RS6 Avant, and @LaArtist will come with his brand new E63 AMG-S.

And let's have a race :D

No thanks, if I was going to spend close to 100 grand on a car, it won't be these 2 ton behemoths. Though gun to head, if I had to pick one of the trio I rather have the RS6 just cause it is a wagon and I have a soft spot for fast wagons, not cause it is faster or slower by fractions of a sec. Pity they won't sell them here.

Considering according to most dynos, the M5 is already making 580+HP, it is probably just a matter of fixing what is printed in the brochure.

^I've always wondered why Audi don't offer the RS6 or in fact any RS Estate in the US, performance cars like these appeal to a car enthusiast and not your typical customer and as such don't conform to the usual buy practices. I'd be gobsmacked if Audi couldn't sale at least 500 units in the US and surely that number would be enough to warrant the effort especially as such cars raise the image of the brand overall.
