BMW H2R Concept car

BMW's H2R concept car, which runs on hydrogen, was shown at the Los Angeles Auto Show Wednesday. It was clocked at 190 mph on a test track.

Very impressive car indeed Alex.
I love the looks of this car, and I hope that the frontal styling makes its way to a production vehicle sometime down the track.

As for that engine, and it's technology. It set 9 world records if I remeber correctly...and yes, clocked doing 304km/h...real impressive.
The engine itself is derived from the V-12 in the 760Li. So it's a 6L V12, and it has around 280-290hp. Interesting huh ?

The only problem with hydrogen is, the process required to produce hydrogen is very expensive and requires more energy than the final product actually can deliver - it's really quite a problem that needs a lot of work before it is a viable alternative.
