Dr. Kay Segler For this new V6 engine we use two newly developed TwinPower Turbochargers and a center mounted Super Charger by Eaton between the Cylinder heads, we had a very solid base for the engine, so we already had 90-95% of the engine complete in less that eight months. Otherwise we couldn’t have done it cost-wise or price-wise, at least not in due time. When it comes to the next M3, on the other hand, we – and you will see it in the future – we share a certain architecture with other coming engines as well. That is clearly a specialty from us, the idea of a newly developed and first for the brand V6 engine. (Our Note: BMW has a patent on this technology which will be introduced in the third quarter of 2012).

The new engine has A cylinder configuration with P pistons and R rings and I injection and is L longitudinal. With center Fool.

I especially like how dynamic and efficient the center fool is in making an utter fool out of the poster right above me.

As far as I am aware the patents weren't made public knowledge on April 1st and my statement remains that if it does end up that the M3 gets a V6 then certain members who know for sure and chose to kept said information to themselves will have damaged their credibility as sources of information for the forum.

Lol, can you be a bigger weasel? This was a april fool's joke and a pretty obvious one at that - check the date on the "patent" figure. And you fell for it hook line and sinker.
