Here are my photos from the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2013, which takes place every year on the South coast of England, just to the East of Portsmouth. It lasts from the Thursday to Sunday. If anybody gets the chance to go I thoroughly recommend it. You really need two days to see everything. There are side shows which are like a whole motor show in themselves, such as the Cartier de Luxe concours competition which sees some very exotic and rare cars on display. There is the hill climb which on the Thursday is the moving motor show all day. This allows people to be driven and drive road cars up the hill climb to test them. There are also stands by car manufacturers just like you get at Geneva and Frankfurt, and they included BMW, Audi, Bentley, Mercedes-Benz and many more. On the weekend there is also a display by the Red Arrows, the Royal Air Force aerobatic team.
If you go on the Thursday it costs £20 and includes free parking. It's quiet enough to be enjoyable. The downside is that there are events which you will miss as they only take place from Friday to Sunday, but for me, the ability to enjoy the show without huge crowds makes up for that.
