Bernie Ecclestone wants to change the F1 rulesw to make sure the driver who wins the most races will take the drivers' championship.
"I got a bit distracted last season with all the McLaren and Ferrari business, but my intention is to push through this idea in the coming weeks," Ecclestone, who didn't travel to Australia, told the Mail on Sunday newspaper in London.
"The key word in motor racing is 'racing' and right now there aren't enough overtaking moves because drivers are happy not to take risks and claim second place because it's only two points less than winning the race."
"What I want to see is the winner of the most number of races as champion and second places only to be used if the top two finish the season with the same number of wins," he added. "The constructors' championship would keep the existing system."
