Hi everyone!
Just picked up my new golf 7 gti today.
Couldn't find any flaws whatsoever when I went to test drive it, but today, on my way back from the dealer, while filling it up at the station, I noticed the plastic rail under the doors was bent and the metal underneath it as well.
I could see a couple pretty faint scrape marks under the plastic where the metal was bent the most. I understand this is part of the unibody. Am I looking at purely esthetic damage? If so, what sort of money am I looking at to get that straightened out?
Or is there a chance that this is more significant structural damage? Everything looks pretty straight under the car, can't see anything there with my untrained eyes.
Many thanks for all answers!
First pic is how I first saw it. Second is after I bent the plastic rail down a bit by hand.
