Just the opposite. The E53 still has the best AWD system, when traction is the point. The new system is lighter and much more fuel efficient and is almost as good off road as the old system.

Sorry guys, but you don't have a clue. Especially the quattro system in the S and RS 4,5,6 and 7 is far, far, far superior to the xDrive. It's a long matter to explain, but just the cost of the systems is something like 4:1 for AUDI's system being more expensive.

MxDrive can be switched off, which per default makes it better than what Audi makes no matter how much it costs them.
