The latest and greatest from Audi is already on its way to America, in the form of the A6, A7, and A8. But soon their S-badged brethren will be joining the fun, confirmed to MotorAuthority by Audi USA at the North American unveiling of the A7 last night.

We don't have availability dates in stone just yet, but we do have a framework: expect each to arrive here in the U.S. between 6 and 12 months after their European counterparts go on sale. Likewise, stats aren't all that firm either, but expect the horsepower, torkles, and other key specs to closely mirror their cross-Atlantic cousins.

As for us, we're not sure which we're looking forward to the most, though at the moment, the S7 is probably in the lead. The A7 marries the best of the A8's interior quality and refinement with a much more striking exterior that draws cues from the Audi 100 Coupe S, and carries those cues into the cabin.

We'll have to wait until we can bring you a drive report from behind the wheel to decide if the A7 lives up to the promise of its design, but we won't have to wait long. Look for a first drive of the A7 in the next few weeks.

In the mean time, keep up with our live coverage of the New York Auto Show as we bring you the live shots and breaking news as it happens.

Yawn. Why would they even bother with such a story. We already knew this. It should be 6 months after they debut in Europe, not 12 months. Dying to see the S6 and S8 please.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
