Usually I look forward to Harris' reviews and this one would seem interesting....but this was just bleeding boring. Needs more oversteer footage and engine noise.

Ironically, my opinion is completely opposite. I think this is one of the most sensible wagon comparisons I have seen in a long time. I think this review will bode well with people who are actually cross shopping between the 2 cars as his review focuses more on how practical these cars are to live with, on a day to day basis instead of doing the run-of-the-mill lap time that every other motoring publication does.

I love the sound of the AMG, but boy oh boy, that gorgeous RS6 looks like the kind of car you would want to park in your living room. It's also quite remarkable how it has smashing performance figures and a comfortable ride despite having 21" wheels. Kudos to Audi, easily the king of this segment.

Fantastic wagon. Probably the best wagon ever made.

In many ways the success of the RS6 perfectly describes the dichotomy between a road test assessment of the car and what people actually want to live with. In the magazine test, four wheel drive means stars deducted for understeer. In the real world it means safety and traction in the wet. Turbocharging means a hammering for poor throttle response from your average journalist, but massive power gains for the owner if they bend the rules.

My Lord... I just love the RS6 so much, I start to think it even overtakes my love for the R8. It looks so freaking insane, it drives insane, and it finally puts the RS badge where it should be. This car is just such a masterpiece. It is all the new RS4 isn't. Thank you Audi for finally hitting the bullseye, first time since the RS4 B7. (not counting the R8 of course).

Yes? I've seen this video and it's old. And it still doesnt change my opinion, and it just prooves it more. The RS4 is a huge disapointment from Audi, while the RS6 is a hit. So I dont get your point.

I would pick the RS6, and i think CH's reason for not bringing on the E63 AMG S 4 MATIC was bs.
He said its cause the CLS is as big inside???Wtf?
I think its more the fact that he just had the CLS around as a daily driver and thought he could have some fun when called by audi to the test the new RS6.

It would be faaar more interesting for me to see a 4matic E63 S battle it out with the RS6.

But anyway my pic would be the RS6 cause no one does wagons like Audi!

Agreed. An E63 AMG S would have been the perfect match to see what wagon is best.

I agree as well... either that or the CLS63 shooting brake 4-Matic S.

The CLS63 SB scored better than the Audi in the handling department, better quality more logical interior exc, exc...( It`s amazing how MB has dialed up the dynamic foot-work of it`s AMG versions.) I personally don`t care for the shooting-break
CLS though.

I`m with those who would choose the RS6. It is a stunning piece of work!

Not BS because Mercedes-Benz doesn't sell the E63 AMG 4Matic in the UK.

No doubt about it that it was informative, but it needed more powerslides/drifts, burn-outs, engine-revs, and all-around general hooliganism. I like to be educated and entertained.
