VW Audi brand Q1 China unit sales 19,161, up 126 pct
INGOLSTADT, Germany (AFX) - Volkswagen AG's luxury unit Audi AG said its first quarter China and Hong Kong unit sales jumped 126 pct to 19,161 thanks to strong demand for its A4 and A6 models.
First quarter sales of the A4 rose to 5,023 from 1,547, while sales of the A6 reached 13,255, up from 6,207.
Audi expects the strong sales growth to continue throughout the year, boosted by the mid-year release of the new Q7 model.
