The 2014 Beijing Auto Show will be a busy one for the German automotive industry. Mercedes-Benz will unveil the MLC Concept, BMW hints on a "9-series" concept which will showcase the new design direction of the upper part of BMW's line-up and Audi just published a trio of sketches of what appears to be a crossover concept.

Even though the photos were not accompanied with a press release, it is evident that this concept follows the new "quattro design language" that was first introduced with the series of Quattro concepts and continued with the Allroad Shooting Brake concept. Details like the bold hexagonal grill and the laser lights help complete the looks. Whether this is the rumoured Q4 or just some eye-candy from Audi remains to be cleared out in the days to come. Until then, click "more" for the three, high-resolution images of the concept.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
