Aston Martin has revealed a performance pack for its DB9 Coupé, designed to improve the car's handling and make it more agile at speed.

The Sports Pack specification comprises revised spring rates (up by 68 per cent at the front and 64 per cent at the rear) with a modified front anti-roll bar, revised dampers and a lower ride height.

The other main change - and the only visible difference - is a new design of forged alluminium alloy wheel, coupled with titanium wheel nuts.
These take more than a kilo off each corner's unsprung mass, a saving of more than five per cent.

Aston has also replaced the composite undertray with a load-bearing aluminium example that helps to improve structural stiffness. The firm claims that the package improves steering feedback and 'helps the DB9 to feel lighter, more positive on turn-in, more agile and more involving for the enthusiastic driver'.
