Are You Still as Enthusiastic about Cars as You Used to Be?

I remember a time when I used to read every post in every thread, save all nice pictures to my harddrive and watch all the videos posted. Unfourtunatly I don't do this anymore. It seems that I care more about being a contributive member than actually enjoying cars as much as I should do. If I come by some nice pics I immediatly share to others so that they can enjoy while I search for more. It's the same with vids, I rarely watch them these days. Just post them.

I don't even remember when I last read a press report on some new car, or saved a car picture. I still read, watch and save pretty much anything that has to do with F1 or photography though.

Do you still enjoy cars as much as you used to or have you too been "Forumised"?

Actually, more so than I ever was. Even before I was on website forums I was a big car enthusiast, but my appreciation grew ever so more as I learned about vehicles which I had not known about (Pagani, Wiesmann and etc)

I used to only be into Audi's but after participating in forums for about 3 years now I have vastly improved my appreciation of all cars and makes, I find myself fascinated by many cars I come across on the internet and strive to learn more about them and expand my automotive knowledge.

I am more enthusiastic than ever, don't get me wrong. It's just that I don't feel like I have the time to watch vids, save pictures and read press reports anymore. In the time I would do that I could be posting pics, vids and news to others. Sharing has become like an addiction.

I will try and find my old self again at least. I'm surprised I'm pretty much the only one struck by this addiction

Same here, but i have been more occupied and cetainly more involved with work to have as much free time as i had last year, but even when this started, i had always said, i was simply trying to get the sight up and popular and more involved.... which is what happened. So i feel that i dont need to be as invloved as i used too be, but it is really because i dont have as much time wether i want to be more involved or not.

I am still very interested and love the site, btu time is my only discrepency.

It's the same with me Alx. I have far from as much spare time nowadays than I used to. So maybe that's a reason why I try to be more efficient while I'm online.

ive stoped doing that a looooong time ago.. but i watch em..
like you im always on hunt for info pics or videos to post..

I've been a car & motorsport freak since I was a kid...I find that my enthusiasm hasn't changed, really (I'm still like a little kid at events), but as I get exposed to different things, I want more (forums, auto shows, races, etc.).

I don't foresee this changing...ever.

What i think about me, is that i am not that passionate now. I think i am just deep into reality, or maybe just my world. Anyway, i don't spend as much time as i used too. this for many reasons. I have hardly any time now, since i have a very demanding job, plus we are working at the bar theses days. Other than that, i am tired of my slow internet. I will update at easter time though, but it is very long...

I wish i had time, but i will only tell you one thing. Wait until summer

i also have been busy not with work but school and dont find time to post but still read most of the threads that interest me. But since i am on winter break for three weeks now i may be posting a little more again...well maybe not im going away with the posibility of no internet which would send me into withdrawl simptoms. I do agree with you though Zonda i feel that i know alot and sometimes i just cant get into a certain topic or i feel that i see it to much and dont care to look. No offense guys but some days i sign in and i just cannot bring myself to open any unread threads because nothing jumps out and gets my attention.

To be honest, I only open threads that interest me, and I don't check every single thread. I know what you mean too, Zonda, when sometimes you feel more like contributing than to comment. I do a lot of the latter last time but as of late I have done more contributing. Nevertheless I feel that contributing makes you all the more likely to comment.

I don't think I've been any less enthusiastic thus far - time is only the main deterrent.

Just have no time like before for saving all pics and videos on my HD. Love to check everything, but my HD ain't that full of stuff... Plus, who in thew world is willing to open and save pics posted by Bruce - there are thousands of them!

But i can tell you that i love cars and i'm more enthusiastic then I ever was.

I used to be interested in every type of car, reading every piece of information i can get about them and remembering the engine capacity, acceleration times, model variations and even the price range of each car. But now i am only interested in luxury and exotic cars because only those cars offers technical and mechanical innovations that interests me. I still collect car pics because i cannot resist the shape of a Ferrari, a Porsche, Aston Martin, Lamborghini or a Pagini.

I guess i am still just as enthusiastic about cars as before, but now my enthusiasm is reserved for luxury and exotic cars.

ps. To BMW_Dude, i cannot resist not mentioning about the Ashes. I saw a small section of the Barmy Army running around the city last night, still as mental as ever even though now you guys are 4-0 down.

When i was younger i also would save every car picture, but i don't any more. My model pics and photo shops are taken over, but my enthusiasm is greater now than ever.
