Apollo Automobil GmbH (formerly Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur GmbH with close Audi AG affiliations) presents its EVision electric sedan in China. Some 5 meters long and nearly 2 meters wide, the EVision sedan is currently on tour in order to test response from both the general public as well as OEM and boutique manufacturers. Should it be favourably received, the car will be produced from as early as late 2023/early2024. The dual e-motor, 800V platform may prove interesting from a supplier point-of-view as well.

These BEV times are mighty interesting.

...and albeit very vague and cryptic, there is innuendo that this platform may, in fact, be a derivative of the VAG "J1" toolkit that underpins the Porsche Taycan and Audi eTron GT. As the company is suspected of continuing to maintain a good relationship with Audi (thanks to Roland Gumpert), it is conceivable that the basic foundation of the "J1" has been outsourced to Apollo for further development of a solid-state battery configuration. An electric SUV/SAC is allegedly in development and will accompany the sedan.

A work of art.

Yes, it is certainly quite exciting indeed. Very extroverted while being elegantly proportioned. I find myself thinking that this could be Lamborghini's "J1" car. Or Cupra's, for that matter.
