The guys over at Germancarblog have found this nice ad which is a reminder of some of the awards Audi models have won for the past year.

Grats to Audi on the awards!

Though, the bottom left award, I'm not so sure. I thought the International engine of the year award 2006 was the M5/M6 Engine?

Unless theres another "Engine of the Year" award out there?

Well according to your link...you're right! It was the M5/M6 engine that won the award. This would be embarrasing if AUDI "awarded" themselves with the best engine of the year...LOL :D

On the other hand, may be they got the best engine award from Austraila or something.

The M5/M6 won the best V10 engine award and the 2.0T was the best 4 cylinder engine award, if i'm not mistaken.

Actually the S85 engine (used in M5/M6) won three different categories: "Above 4 litres", "Best Performance Engine" and "International Engine of the Year". Audi 2.0 TFSI only won the 1.8 L to 2.0 L category. So Audi is being a bit misleading in their advertising...:bangin:

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
