AMS: Mercedes C350 Avantgarde Review

<<The article starts out by proclaiming that the C-Class will be bullet proof quality and reliability wise.>>

This is quite a statement considering MB's past products. Including my W203 for which I am eternally grateful that I purchased the factory warranty extension to 8yrs/100K miles. The dealer is still fixing it after 6.5 years.

Maybe when my '08 C350 develops it's first defect, Herr Kramer would like to come to my home and fix it himself?

This article translation is very timely since I received my subscription copy of AMS today and was wading through this very article with great difficulty. The car is in question was probably not a production model since it had no trunk mounted brakelight which I thought was universally fitted, now.

Too bad the exterior and interior colors of this car are what they are since they are so dowdy and didn't photograph very well. In fact, tall the pictures were not up to AMS photo standards and I've been buying it for decades, now.

I agree, but when one looks into the millions of testkilometers poured into the W204 project, one gets the feeling that they're actually doing something to make this statement come true.

Can't wait to hear some reviews on this car, even from the JD Powers and CR, which I hardly trust because of their lack of explanation in the severity of problems.
