You. The Road. Nothing else.
While Ferrari and Audi are marking their Facebook fan milestones with precision burnouts, Mercedes AMG wants to thank fans for helping them reach 2 million video views on YouTube.
And what better way to celebrate than to drift a C63 AMG Coupe around the Corkscrew at Laguna Seca?
The Corkscrew is a famous section of the Laguna Seca race track which is essentially a long chicane on a steep downhill or blind crest depending on your direction of approach.

^Aren't you a bit old to be playing with video games? :D

Absolutely. As a rule I don't play video games. But, Forza 4... for a petrolhead, it's the ultimate toy. Unbelievable how totally engrossing and true to life a "game" could possibly be.

Not a fan of GT5?

I don't have a PlayStation. The XBox was a year-end gift from work. Up until then I'd never played any game on a console before. So I bought an XBox wireless steering wheel and Forza 4 for a laugh.

Gee wiz, it's truly incredible. The realism of the cars' handling characteristics defies belief. How they make it so realistic is beyond me. You take an Evo IX and an STI and drive them back to back - incredible how the distinction in handling between the two cars is exactly as it is in the real world; on-throttle the STI will push nose terminally unless you lift, the Evo on the other hand's active yaw control quells the understeer and brings the car back on line. Dinkum.

As for the C63 AMG through the Corkscrew - in real life (!) - man that's some special driving skill right there.

I always took it as one of those stupid car games, one of my boys has it so maybe I'll get him to show me and see what I'm missing.

Chris Harris did the same comparison with the STi and he came up with the same analysis as yours. I still think you should try playing GT5, IMO it feels a little bit more realistic than Forza 4. It is extremely easy to play for hours, I spend an unhealthy amount of time trying different lines, different car setups and analysising the laps on the data logger, not sure if Forza 4 has this function.

Totally agree, I didn't think it was achievable without crashing, until now.
