Touareg Am I crazy considering the VW Touareg?

Time to part with my low millage 14 MDX that's almost paid off. SUVs are a homogeneous so I created list of features that were important to me. I looked at Truecar, Edmunds and dealer advertised prices to get a ballpark of OTD prices. Here's the deal:

Volvo XC90 T6. All the features but it was also one of the most expensive with sparse discounting.

X3 xdrive 28i - Fairly well loaded. Some discounting, but has a fairly high MSRP to begin with.

Q5 3.0T is nice, but the features in the 2016 lags behind. Aggressive (for Audi) pricing.

VW Touareg was in the sweet spot. It has most of the features I want, fairly heavy discounting and promotional financing. Looks like they go for between 10-14% off MSRP.

The question is, am I crazy? Looking 2015 and 2014 KBB values it seems like the Touareg holds it's value better than other VWs (like the Tiguan or Jetta) and even the BMW X3. But I don't know. There are some lease offers, but it seems like the financing offers are superior.

We are still a few months away from customer deliveries for the new GLE and X5. However I doubt there will be any discounts for months.

How many of the above cars, including the Q7 have you driven?
