Proper evolution with enough changes to make it modern. Should continue to be a very strong seller. Not that the previous one was dated visually by any means

New RAV4 looks really good in all guises. I like the seats in the GR with nice microfiber and look comfortable and supportive. The car looks spacious for tall people with a decent sized boot. Powertrains look decent especially the Plug In Hybrid models.

I'm amazed at how well the current gen aged.

They sold 475K of them in the US last year. This looks really good, so expect 500K a year once production ramps up.

The RAV4 is amazing value for money. We had one in the office for many year. Perfectly adequate for light off road use, comfortable enough for long drives, and absolutely soulless as a driver's car. The new one, at least from the photos, looks quite nice.

Hated it back in the day but I think it's quite lovely now, in hindsight. But it has nothing to do with the current RAV4 models. Only the name sticks. The new ones are full blown big 5 door SUV cars.

Toyota is in better shape than ever. Particularly the GR cars which I pretty much all adore.

This 100%, and the equipment offered + build quality is better than anything offered at the same price point, so no wonder it's the largest selling SUV in the world. This new model looks poised to ensure they will maintain that title for the foreseeable future - too bad I got the outgoing model in February, but I got a great offer

That RAV4 is still my favorite, it actually looks so dinky sized nowadays very cute in 3dr form.

I think Toyota are in terrific form at present. I was never really a big fan of Toyota cars as they always looked so boring and their interior were hard and plasticky but their new models look great. I like the Ferrari like front. Their interior build is hugely improved and now they are the same level as Hyundai for design desirability and interior ambience.
