I have to be honest, given the choice of a CL 500 or a CL 600 vs a Jaguar XKR, I definitely would go with the Jaguar. The XKR, in my opinion, is a more likeable car overall. That said, however, the comparison was unfair. Abenteuer Auto should have compared the Jaguar XKR vs the Mercedes CL 63 AMG.

How is the comparison unfair? The CL 63 would be far more powerful, and far more expensive than the XKR.

These two coupés are very beautiful; it's also particularly interesting to see how the CL literally floats through the road as its suspension negotiates the bumps.

I'd have chosen the CL. I couldn't have lived with the Jag's interior, as well as the compromises that has been endowed on it with cost-cutting.
