Today, I had a half-day in school because it was the last day of the semester, so I was really eager to head over to a supercar show right after school, equipped with my newly acquired EOS 300D to take some pictures and experiment with the new camera.

Well, more about the supercar show first. It's a celebratory event hosted by Torque magazine, a local production which reached its first anniversary of publication. I wasn't expecting many cars, but oh boy I was pleasantly surprised.

For the photography freaks: Anyway, I'm just starting to fiddle with aperture, white balance, shutter speed and ISO and I'm not so good at it yet. Still, I really had fun tweaking these settings to get the best results and I'm already used to using the manual mode over the automatic preset modes. I'm really impressed by the 300D and I can't wait to exploit more of its potential.

PS. Just a quick note, my camera couldn't auto-focus after this, which made me really mad. But, playing with manual focus made me love the camera even more, because it's so fun to DIY. :D

First, featuring the 599 GTB Fioriano...

Many many more pics to come... It's 3:10AM over here and I'm not sure if I'll upload the rest by today. Critique is welcomed. :t-cheers:

Great photos. Especially as it looks you're photographing area was limited. :usa7uh:

Thanks Bruce. I really had a hard time contorting my body to get good shots, with everyone in the way and the barriers ruining an otherwise good photo... The Carrera GT which I'll show later is the most difficult to photograph, but I tried. ;)

Beautiful cars and pictures. I saw a documentary recently on the production of the 599 GTB and let me tell you, the amount of effort that goes into producing just one of these cars is mindblowing. The engine alone takes ages to produce because the steel used to create them is consistently checked for imperfections during the molding process! Incredible.

I think we saw the same documentary. National Geographic, right?

OK, that's all guys, I'm gonna sleep in a bit... :t-cheers:

Night, James. And yet again, great pictures.

Delicious Zonda S.. :icondrool

Great photos James...You have so many chances to see supercars, I didn't know supercar market was that developed overthere.

You're so lucky to get up so close and personal with all these nice cars, half of which I have still yet to see IRL!

Took some great shots, the 300D is sure a great camera!

Was there a Veyron there?

This is one of the coolest set of photos I have seen in ages some refreshingly different angles. Love the ground level straight on of the Ferrari

You can say that again, the pearlescent yellow is beautiful. I've not seen another Zonda in that colour before. BTW, can the Zonda F be coloured or does it just come in full-body carbon fibre and anothing else?

The market is relatively small, we sell about 300 or so luxury cars every year here. But each car is insanely expensive, which translates to fat profits for the manufacturers, hence the hype surrounding them.

Nope, no Veyron yet, but there's word that a Bentley/Jag dealership is importing them in...

Are you referring to my shots? If so then thank you, I'm flattered. ;)

- Painted canopy
- Unpainted canopy
- Painted mirrors
- Unpainted mirriors

The list is endless and customization of all sort is available. :usa7uh:
