With the new 3-series, designers will attempt to address criticisms of the current car?s awkward styling and lack of interior space. These renderings, compiled using information from sources close to the project show that the new car will have a pronounced kidney-grille with the air-intakes positioned on either side of the bumper just below the headlights. New options for the 2012 3-series will include hybrid variants as well as the latest version of BMW?s Efficient Dynamics. The X-Drive AWD system is likely to gain favour thanks to a redesign of the system to reduce weight, which will only increase fuel consumption by 0.5L per 100km over RWD models. Other features that may make it to production include night-vision devices, a heads-up display and radar safety systems.

Some journalists are just pure stupid. Today every idiot can be a "journalist".

The other day I watched a RS4 review, and the presenter said "It's coming from Audi's GmbH, an in-house tuner on par with BMW M division, and MB AMG tunning house."

Of course that stupid guy didn't know "GmbH" actually meant "Ltd.", and that the right answer was "Quattro GmbH".


And BTW, forget about that renderings of future BMW cars based on CS concept. Like in this generation, the new generation will also bring a variety of individual designs - yet with some common design cues.

Yet do not expect every new generation BMW car will be a CS Concept copy/paste. That's not going to happen.


And ... that's the charm of Bangle's era: you never know what's coming, and how will the outcome look like.

Yeah, seriously. I was thinking the same thing. Also, not enough space inside? ***? This is the biggest 3er ever, there has never been so much space inside. And compared to the A4 and C class, it's not small either.

Correct Osna. Those two things have NEVER been mentioned. If anything, people call the E90 line conservative looking Bimmers.
But the mention of lack of interior space made me simply laugh. This 'journalist' has no clue.

No, this car is a current BMW 3 series with copy and paste parts from a real car, the Concept CS.
