Ah I should have made it clearer but I posted the wrong iNEXT picture.
Seems somewhat feasible?

I agree.

I think the 'lights' we are seeing at the moment in the middle of the grille are possibly the top of the air intakes.

I think the lights are siting on the top of the grille.

I don’t think so. They need to test the lights in the position they will be on the car.

At least one big screen is better than smaller screens everywhere. I am starting to dislike 'em!

I believe one single screen increases the potential of the interior looking cheap. The new Golf is a good example of this. Designs like the Taycan (4 screens), ln the other hand, make the space that used to be reserved for buttons look still busy.

Let's wait to see how the iNext looks like, but what other companies have done using thd one screen only approach looks miserable IMO.

From the metal, wood and leather of the past, we went to black plastic (of different qualities) throughout the dashboard and for all cars, expensive and cheap, to return again to the noblest and less plastic materials of today, today we are giving step to the proliferation of screens, I think it is cyclical and a fashionable topic, in the 70s cost benefit of plastic, today trends and technology are followed, when screens get boring, there will be some other discovery, who knows.

What I do bring out the S-Class, is a marked difference between the "total luxury with subtle technology" of the Bentley Fliying Spur and the new Ghost versus the "total technology and subtle luxury" of the Mercedes and others that go for that way.

I would expect the G70 interior to be the production version of the i4 Concept. This spy pics proves it won't be far from it.

Interesting, I could actually see something like this with the spy pics.
Such a large screen with touch capability, it would have to slightly curve as pictured.
One thing to point out though, looks like the iDrive control wheel is still in place here as the screens sit too far away for immediate accessibility.
This is a vision concept so there is a very good chance this idea will hit production.

Mercedes has been here and done this. Not the most creative approach from a once design innovator. The luxury and premium feel will likely have to lean on the materials rather than the design.

They have been here and are gone already. If this is indeed what the 7er will get, it is dated already.

I always liked BMWs interior design especially because they kept their driver oriented approach, which is completely conceivable to keep going forward with, just like where Porsche is going. The VFL had a nice direction for evolution to their layout. Pretty lame effort tbh, but didn’t expect much from them nowadays anyway.

Couldn't have said it better.

While hoping for the best, I'll admit that my expectations regarding the G70/71 are far from lofty. It seems that I just can't escape that suspicion that we will be presented a product that is already lurking on the threshold of obsolescence.

I think the lower-hung look as apposed to this approach would give BMW a vintage sophistication and truly separate it from the competition. I do question if the lower light and grille approach follows their pedestrian safety laws that prevent many good designs from materializing.

According to my sources, the G70/71 is going to have one (NOT 2 like i4) large (much bigger than i4) very high resolution curved screen elegantly placed on the top dashboard surface like on the i4. It supposedly will look very elegant and upscale.;)

How much bigger can it really get

However our Chinese divission of Cobra use a Honghi. But in no way are they cultivating virussses to unleash to destroy global economiesss.
that is just liesss.
