Peugot, Citroën and Renault are using following the same stategy. If a saloon or mpv is selling poorly, they relaunch it as a crossover.

Although it does not resemble its ancestor conceptually, it seems to retain its interior "friendliness" with the classic interior practicality, the rear armrest is more premium and attractive than those of many high-end Germans

Likely not this time around; this is part of Renault's new pure EV range, and so far they're keeping them compact (Megane, Scenic, soon R5...). The 7 seater of the lineup is the new Espace (which is just a 'Grand Austral'), in ICE/hybrid form.
