Love the 4... everything I think a perfect driver's car should be - NA engine, manual, mid engine, RWD. It is also the only one!

But, can't say no to the tomato colored 911 RS with big ass wings for it's sheer visual drama...

So I abstain!

In fact, the only proposition currently. With the new R8 not having a manual option anymore, can't think of another mid engined, NA, manual car.

I got a little misty-eyed just thinking about it. We are ever getting closer and closer to an end of an era. I am going to have trouble explaining to my future kids what a manual transmission is when they are zipping about in their self-driving Google or Apple car.

Yes, auto industry is probably on the verge of a upheaval. Think phone industry, pre and post iphone. Wouldn't be surprised if some of the today's top car manufacturer's are going to go the way of Nokia... but that is for another thread.

That's an interesting idea. The engine is ahead of the rear axle, not behind, which should make it mid engined.

When seeing pictures of the Cayman GT4 in isolation, I think it looks fantastic! However, when looking at pics comparing the GT4 to the GT3 RS, the 911 car just seems so much more "substantial" and better looking.

Obviously, both cars are great. But if I could only choose one car, I would choose the one with the near supercar levels of performance.

My vote went straight to the GT4. Given the levels of extremeness of both cars are very similar, the absence of a manual gearbox in the 911 is a deal breaker.

Wow this has got to be one of the toughest decisions for me when choosing between 2 cars. Both of these cars I would love to own and drive, anyone i would choose in a heartbeat. Both of these cars are my favourite sports cars in the world, so to pick one........mmmmmmmmm.......flick a coin and it lands on the GT3 RS. By a 1/2 micron of paint thickness this would be my ultimate choice mainly for its more extreme looks, which make it look more like a racing car than the GT4 and its got a much more powerful, higher revving, still NA engine which would make it perform more like a racing car. As both are designed for sole purpose of been excellent drivers cars, the GT3 RS history has also got it ingraved with a must have genius that the GT4 has just inherited. But oh why do we have to go through such a tough choice as these 2 incredible cars!!!

GT3 RS gets my vote by a wide margin. The GT4 is still neutered to protect the GT3 hierarchy.
