Does anyone know if there will be a two door coupe or 2 door or even 4 door convertible version of the A7?

In an interview with Germanys' Auto Motor und Sport magazine several months ago, Audi CEO Rupert Stadler rather vaguely alluded to the possibility of introducing a traditional 2 door coupe based on the executive class A6 or A7. A 4 door A7 cabriolet appears to now be off the table, while a 2 door cabriolet based on the above mentioned coupe may or may not come into fruition.

There is much speculation with regard to the A8-based A9. Will the A9 be a traditional 2 door coupe positioned between the rival BMW 6 series and M-B CL (or the upcoming S-Class coupe/cab) with an open topped derivative ? Or will the A9 be a 4 door coupe, larger than the A7 and with a non-hatched semi-notchbacked design-more similar to BMWs' 6er Gran Coupe ?

Audi will certainly expand its' upmarket offerings within the course of the next 3-4 years. Just how is rather unclear at this stage.
