2011 Acura MDX vs. 2011 Audi Q7 3.0T S-line, 2011 BMW X5 xDrive35i, 2011 Land Rover L

I'm a little shocked that the X5 didn't win this comparison test, I'm sure the guys on starting the test probably felt that the X5 would have run away with this one and probably shocked them too. Having previously owned an Q7 I thought it great but no where near as spirited a drive as the X5 was, maybe the 2011 revisions have turned it into a real winner.

P.S.
For the usual doubters here's my Q7.

They seem to have done right by switching to a 3.0T and a 8 speed gearbox .

It would be between the X5 and MDX for me. The Q7 is nice, but I would prefer it's little brother the Q5 over it. The Land Rover has always been blah for me.

With the interior of the X5, it would easily be my SUV of choice out of the four.

Yeah, I got the magazine at home.. the Q7 won by 1 point. It ended up out-scoring the X5 on the subjective topics, such as interior design. Also, seems a bit lop-sided to use the S-line version.

I haven't read the article that closely nor do I know what spec US S/Line Q7s come with but if it's like the UK then I don't see how it's that lop-sided, all the S/Line adds is bigger rims which the X5 on test already had, after that it's many styling differences between SE and S/Line. Though I would agree with their findings that interior design of the Q7 is much better thought out.

Thats all the S/line package here is aswell a more agressive styling package. No hp increase, or a better suspension set up (for the Q7 anyways),so there would be no added advantage from a preformance standpoint.
