Source2010 Nissan GT-R sets a new record at Nurburgring

http://www.4wheelsnews.com/2010-nissan-gt-r-sets-a-new-record-at-nurburgring/Subsequent to Nissan’s dealing with the glitch in the VDC-launch control limit that proved to be an obstacle to the first R35 model, the Japaneses carmaker came back and pledged a GT-R that would be faster.
Nissan provided a software update to permit the launch control and VDC traction control to be utilized simultaneously to offer higher shifter rpms, and based on that, the company promised on paper a faster GT-R. There are some skepticism, however, among owners who turned off their VDC and busted their transaxles in last year’s model concerning the performance advantage with a traction control hindering speed operations. So, for good measure, Nissan has been quite busy testing the latest model year GT-R at the Nurburgring. The GT-R model last year set a remarkable lap time of 7 minutes and 29 seconds around Nurburgring, and with an updated GT-R this year, the best lap time is 7 minutes, 27.56 seconds, about 2 seconds faster than last year’s figure.
